Tallia Storm
Every so often, something quite raw and interesting comes along to the music scene and give the reaction of this unsigned 15-year-old’s native Scotland, it is perhaps Tallia Storm. Nothing contrived, just a deep soulful signature reminiscent to that from the Motown era, belying her age. The Tallia Storm vocal, with her trademark ‘big hair’ will pull you in all the right directions, for she can belt out strong soulful melodies with an R&B and jazz grove that simply defies her petite frame. Tallia Storm is working on her debut album and has recorded many new and exciting tracks, one of which is to appear on a soundtrack of an upcoming animated feature film Sir Billi, starring Sir Sean Connery. She has already played across Scotland to rave reviews at numerous fashion parties, live gigs and The Variety Club of Great Britain Show. With significant local radio station support from Radio Clyde, where she has performed at several of their roadshows, their Clyde DJ’s described her as ‘a little lady with a big voice going a long way!’ Scotland’s Capital FM invited her to turn on the Christmas lights and sing live on stage with over 6000+ street party goers — nothing seems to faze this young lady who is clearly at her best in front of a microphone! Presently at school, Tallia Storm remains very grounded by all this activity. She said: “I think of this as my passion and my hobby, but a hobby that I take super seriously. Like my friends go swimming four and five times a week and compete in regional competitions, I practice singers for hours and record records. I understand the competition is mega, but fingers crossed I’m here for the long term — it’s all about focus and music is mine, no matter how long it takes! It’s easier when you love singing as much as I do of course!”
